


I often enjoy a nice blend of chai and coffee, as it marries the alluring spices of a seasoned tea with the profound taste of coffee. Thinking about who came up with the wonderful idea of combining the two got me thinking about the history of chai, originating from India, and Coffee, where consumption is thought to have started in Yemen. After some research, I combined two stories and narratives of the origin of chai and coffee in order to illustrate the eventual development of what we know today as dirty chai.
